Dr. Michael Pauls

Dr Michael Pauls graduated from S.F.U. with his B Sc. degree and then went on to study dentistry in both Chicago and Winnipeg, Manitoba. These schools had some of the finest facilities and faculties on the continent. His hard work resulted in receiving numerous awards during every year of his dental education. These awards were in a full range of disciplines.

Dr. Pauls continues to take many courses by renowned World Dental leaders to further his skills in all aspects of dentistry. He is a member of many professional organizations, including Dental Study Clubs and Dental Societies to keep current with the latest technology and techniques. Dr. Pauls has lectured at Study Clubs and enjoys teaching & mentoring others about different topics in dentistry. For years, he also authored a dental column in a local magazine.

Mike enjoys the variety of challenges that come with being a General Dentist. Every day is unique. He finds that it is a lot of fun to be able to work with children all the way through to seniors. One of the most rewarding aspects of his work has been witnessing total transformation of a patient’s outlook on life by improving their smiles through personalized high quality care.

Dr. Pauls used to play a variety of sports while growing up and attended SFU on a full scholarship to play football. He was drafted by the Edmonton Eskimos back in 1986 and still has a passion for the sport. When he is not creating beautiful smiles, he has been coaching many different kids’ sports in the Kerrisdale area for over a decade. Over the past few years, he has been fortunate to have coached 5 Provincial Championship winning football teams, gone to two National Championships representing BC and won two prestigious “Orange Helmet Awards” for coaching excellence from the BC Lions.

Dr. Pauls has been married since 1989. He and his wife Sheila, have three terrific kids who are all active in their schools and communities too.

Dr. Doug Pauls

Dr. Pauls is a general dentist whose practice is focused on comprehensive dental care. Since graduation he has taken a special interest in the appearance of teeth and smiles, implant restorations, dentures and complex dental problems.

Dr. Mario Esposito

Dr. Mario Esposito, General Dentist, was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. He graduated from the UBC Faculty of Dentistry with a DMD degree and was accepted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honours Dental Society in 1993.

Dr. Esposito has practiced in Vancouver since 1993, all the while taking post-graduate courses and continuing education in Endodontics, Cosmetic Dentistry, Laser Dentistry, Orthodontics and Invisalign Certification . Most recently, he has focused his studies on TMJ treatment to alleviate problems originating from the jaw joint that cause headaches.

He has been a member of the International Association for Orthodontics since 2002 and was a member of the Focus Study Group for Occlusal Harmony.

Dr. Jonathan Lim

Dr. Jonathan Lim was born in South Korea and immigrated to Canada in 2006. Since then, he was raised in Vancouver, BC. Since high school, his love for Fine Arts and Sciences has kept him motivated to become a dentist with strong scientific knowledge and exceptional hand skills.

Dr. Lim graduated from the University of British Columbia with an undergraduate degree with Distinction in the Integrated Sciences focused on Human Physiology and Microbiology. Afterwards, he pursued further education to obtain the Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of British Columbia. During his study, he received multiple awards for his clinical achievements in a wide range of dental fields including prosthodontics, gold foil, and ergonomics. Dr. Lim is actively taking continuing education courses to expand his knowledge on patient-centred, comprehensive treatment. He is currently a member of the BC College of Oral Health Professionals and the British Columbia Dental Association.

He enjoys playing hockey and piano in his free time. He also likes to go on picnics to enjoy the wonderful weather in Vancouver. He is fluent in both English and Korean.

It is important that you notify us of any changes in your plan or your address. Your insurance plan is a contract between you, your employer and the insurance company. Insurance companies will not provide us information directly.

At time of treatment, you will be responsible for any portion not covered by your insurance plan.

We accept cash, debit, visa or MasterCard payment which is expected at time of treatment. For larger procedures we can establish payment plans which may be arranged with our office manager, Anita. We accept most in province dental plans and will assist you in understanding your benefits. However, any and all amounts not covered by your insurance plans are ultimately your responsibility.
